Ecotourism Program Draws Hundreds to Central Coast for Fall Event
Hundreds of bird watchers from novice to veteran converged on the Central Coast for three days â€"and nights â€" of birding on the last weekend of September. They participated in the second annual Monterey Bay Birding Festival, increasing attendance to more than 600 people. “It proves there’s a huge interest in eco-tourism and birding especially,” said Dave Brockmann, one of the festival organizers. “It could be the next big thing for the Pajaro Valley.”...
