Apple releases a new security update that protects iPhones – how to install it
Apple has created a new type of security update called Rapid Security Response for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
The 16.4.1 (a) and macOS 13.3.1 (a) Rapid Security Response Updates are designed to provide iOS 16.4.1 and macOS 13.3.1 users Security fixes Without having to install a full software update.
These updates can help fix software vulnerabilities; which were until now exploitable by hackers who might seek to hack into your smartphone.
How do I download the update?
- Go to the Settings app on your Apple device.
- Click General and then Software Update.
- You should see a box titled iOS Security Response 16.4.1(a) and a button for “Download and Install”, which you should press.
- After pressing this button, you will have to reboot. Your device will turn off and on again with the update installed.
