A Minecraft player walked 2,500 hours to the end of the map and this is what happened (video)

On January 31, 2021, Mr twitch streamer Mystical Midget has set himself an ambitious goal, wanting to do something that no one else is capable of Maine Craft: walk to the end of the map!

Now, nearly two full years later, the streamer has succeeded. Specifically, he had to walk 32 million blocks to reach the edge of the game’s procedurally generated map. In total, the streamer has spent more than 2,500 hours in the square world of Minecraft, the vast majority of which was just walking around.

It should be noted that like many others who have attempted this challenge before him, Mystical Midget used an older version of the game, more specifically Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 which was first released 11 years ago. As you can see in the video below, when the player reached the borders of the map, the graphics engine couldn’t handle it. Thus the surroundings started to wobble and the graphics moved strangely.

When he took the last step and passed 32 million blocks, the game threw him into the graphics. The horrific tape shrieked, and once his player finally lost, as he fell into the void, he threw his headphones on the table in exasperation, while his friends cheered the achievement in the background.

For the record, the so-called Far Lands of Minecraft, i.e. procedurally generated map borders, is one of the most infamous initial bugs in the game, with many veterans trying to figure it out. This is actually a floating point bug, which you can learn more about Click here.
