A press and tourism seminar will highlight Cuba’s efforts

From the 20th to the 24th of this month, 50 journalists from Colombia, Panama, Ecuador, Uruguay, Mexico and Cuba will discuss current trends in information dedicated to this field.

The seminar will be held on those dates with headquarters in Havana and will pay a visit to the Varadero Resort, or other tours to learn about the famous Tropicana Cabaret.

Hilda Brito, chair of the event’s organizing committee, highlighted the importance of resuming this annual meeting after the break due to the Govt-19 epidemic.

The call was made by the Traveling President of the Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC) to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience between specialized newspapers in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The conference is hosted by the Jose Marti International Institute of Journalism, which produces courses and advice on information for the Latin American and Caribbean regions.

The first three days will be devoted to talks and talks with topics such as post-epidemic tourism marketing and development strategies in Cuba, a calendar of culture-tourism 2022 activities and events, and a conference on Cuba and the Caribbean.

In addition, participants will be able to visit the Pasio del Prado and the Grand Aston La Habana Hotels, where experts from the Kavyota team will explain the benefits of the two lodges.

Similarly, experts from the International Center for the World Economy in this country will talk about flexible tourism in Cuba and representatives of the Spanish chain Melia will report on their presence on the archipelago.

Other conferences include presentations by the Blue Diamond Hotel Group in Canada and panels on local development tourism, as well as the presence of professors from the Faculty of Tourism at the University of Panama.
