Kristin McPhee of iconic rock band Fleetwood Mac has died at the age of 79, her family announced in a Facebook post. “On behalf of her family Christine McPheeIt is with a heavy heart that we inform you of her death. He passed away peacefully in the hospital, this morning, Wednesday, November 30, 2022, after a long struggle with illness. She was with her family. Please respect the family’s privacy at this very painful time and would like everyone to keep it safe Christine In their hearts and remember the life of a wonderful man and respected musician who was loved all over the world. The British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967, have sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the most successful music acts of all time. Some of their most famous songs are “Dreams”, “Go Your Own Way”, “Everywhere”, and “The Chain”.

McPhee told Rolling Stone in June that her health is in poor shape and that she has been having back problems.

Its worldwide recognition and commercial success peaked in the 1970s and 1980s.

The band paid tribute to singer-songwriter McPhee by posting it on their official Twitter account. “There are no words to describe our grief over the passing of Christine McPhee. Despite their turbulent history, Fleetwood Mac became one of the most popular rock bands of the 70’s and 80’s, consisting of Mick Fleetwood, Christine and John McPhee, as well as Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks.

She took the first steps in her career under her maiden name, Christine Perfect, and began singing with the blues band Chicken Shack. They had a hit with a cover of Etta James’ I’d Rather Go Blind, with McVeigh on lead vocals. After marrying John McPhee in 1968, she left the band a year later and joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970.

McAfee’s death comes two years after the death of Peter Green, co-founder of Fleetwood Mac, at the age of 73.
