As of this month, it’s now possible to put a shortcut to Google Password Manager on the home screen of your Android phone or tablet — here’s how.
Across Android and Chrome, Google has a useful service capable of saving all the different passwords you need for apps, services, and websites, and securing them with your Google account. To help maintain security between these accounts, Google Password Manager can create unique passwords for each account and even check if any of your existing passwords have been compromised.

On Android, there is a complete applet available for Password Manager, provided by Google Play Services. Password Manager’s native Android experience is better than the web app because it allows you to use your device’s biometrics or lock screen to unlock your saved passwords. In comparison, the web app usually requires you to enter your Google Account password.
However, it is not easy to access the Android version of Password Manager. Your instinct might be to search or ask your Google Assistant for a “password manager,” but both will simply lead you to the web app. Alternatively, the normal way to access Password Manager on Android is to open a file Settings app , then head to Privacy existing. From there, tap Google Autofill Service Finally, choose passwords.
