You may or may not know that Kate starred in a Calvin Klein ad campaign with photographer Herb Ritts and Mark Wahlberg in the ’90s—including a 1992 photoshoot where she was topless with the actor.

When desert island discs Asked by host Lauren Laverne what she remembers of the ad campaign, Kate said she “didn’t have very good memories.”
Kate described Mark as “very macho” and said he felt the shooting “was going around him”. “He had a great entourage,” she said. “I was just that model.”
When Lauren asked Kate if she was feeling “the thing,” the model replied, “Yeah, totally. Fragile and scared…I think they played on my weakness.”
This isn’t the first time Kate has taken up this photoshoot. In 2012, she said Vanity Fair She had a “nervous breakdown” because of the experience.
Mark also addressed the photo session in recent years – specifically, in an interview with Watchman Circa 2020.
“I think I was probably a little rough around the edges. I wasn’t…too mundane, let’s say it,” he said when told that Kate found the photo session unpleasant.
