Kosmidou set a Serres singles record

Kosmidou set a Serres singles record

For the second time, the throwing meeting was organized at the Municipal Stadium of Serres in memory of Yannis Fragoglu who passed away at the age of 56 in 2021 and scores of shooters from all over Greece honored him with their participation.

A good performance by Stavroula Kosmidou in the women’s hammer throw as the 21-year-old won with a throw of 64.60 metres. The second is 20-year-old Natalia from Rhodes with 56.34 metres.

Alexandros Grigoriadis sent the javelin to 67.44m, setting an individual record (he had 65.42m) and showing that he would have no problem hitting the European junior limit (66.00m).

Maria Alexeva performed over the limit (47.50m) for European juniors in the discus throw with a throw of 48.25m. Also, 16-year-old María Rafaeledo impressed this time in the discus throw, achieving an effort of 46.69 metres.

Remaining under 19 meters in the men’s throw, Odysseas Mouzenidis took a lot of risks and had only two valid shots. The first at 18.24m and the fifth at 18.75m.
In the men’s hammer throw, 21-year-old Marcelo Mima threw 67.74m to win with Theodoros Ziugas coming second with 66.08m.
Theodora Arabatzi threw 52.09m in the women’s javelin, while Anastasia Dragomirova (for the heptathlete) did well, sending the javelin at 50.07m. Athlete Giorgos Potskaryov succeeded in shooting with a best throw of 14.34 metres.
