OnePlus 11 announced for the Chinese market – OnePlus

Although it is set to launch globally next month, OnePlus recently announced its flagship launch in the Chinese market.

The OnePlus 11 features a main camera bump design on the back and is inspired by “black holes”, according to the manufacturer, which is a sub-brand of the well-known Oppo company. Alongside the hardware, OnePlus also announced a new pair of wireless earphones called the OnePlus Buds Pro 2.

Inside the OnePlus 11, we find Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with 12GB or 16GB of RAM (LPDDR5X) and 256GB or 512GB (UFS 4.0) of storage space respectively. Its screen has a diagonal of 6.7 inches, LTPO 3.0 OLED technology, with a resolution of 1440p and an automatically adjustable refresh rate – depending on the application or function – between 1 Hz and 120 Hz. The screen has a small hole in the upper left corner for the 16-megapixel front camera. The device is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery and supports 100W fast charging technology.

At the back and in the circular “camera bump” we find three cameras, the 50MP main camera (Sony IMX890 sensor with PDAF and OIS), the 48MP ultra-wide camera (Sony IMX581 sensor and AF function) and the 32MP camera (Sony IMX709) telephoto type with optical zoom 2x specially designed for portraits. A 13-channel multi-spectral light color detection sensor according to OnePlus helps the device respond to “all shooting scenarios” and all conditions. The company didn’t go into detail on the specific sensor, and we may have to wait until the global launch of the device to answer any questions we have about its functionality. The device comes with Color OS 13 UI on top of Android 13.

As mentioned, along with the device, the company also announced the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, the new pair of wireless headphones with noise-canceling technology. These headphones use a dual driver design. Thus, each earphone includes an 11mm driver that takes care of low/bass frequencies and a 6mm driver that is dedicated to mid and high frequencies (treble). It also supports spatial audio and is equipped with six-axis motion sensors to detect the user’s head position. In addition to the noise-canceling technology they include, the headphones support Bluetooth 5.3 LE and have up to 39 hours of battery life (together with a protective wireless charging case).

The OnePlus 11 price in China for the 12GB/256GB version is around $580 while the 16GB/512GB version is priced around $710. The global launch of the device is scheduled for February 7.
