OPEKEPE: Illegal maps with national security infrastructures in the air through IACS – a “window” for trespassers… – Economic Postman

Thanks to incredible carelessness, haste but also determination, OPEKEPE has opened a platform to receive individual assistance requests from farmers to IACS for the 2024 growing season.

Those who have started submitting their applications for the new agricultural season can see on the maps, published via the platform at the Declaration Reception Centers (KYD), how the prohibited “camouflage” of secret areas is carried.

Critical national security infrastructure, for example. Airports and camps, as can be seen from the images published by OT, there are a lot of…

Although the Army Geographic Service prohibits the display of images that have not been processed as prescribed – a similar procedure is provided for the cadastre – the published maps contain black areas (camouflage), which irreparably compromises the national security of the country. Basically, they clearly show where these infrastructures are located.

In the images available to OT, you will see the illegal processing that the maps have undergone:

Technical Advisor

All of this reveals, as reported, the OPEKEPE administration’s haste in using the old technical advisor’s maps issued in 2017.

According to the same sources, nothing happened with the GIS for the years 2022 and 2023, so the technical advisor who took over the project in those years made sure that the maps were in line with what the Army Geographic Service determined. It is noteworthy that these maps are published on the OSDE platform, which has the “gov.gr” entry portal.

It is worth noting that according to the available information, the legal maps were downloaded by IACS on July 12 to appoint OPEKEPE as the technical consultant (IACS project was running before 2022 and 2023).

As he complained, he was assigned this particular consultant at the last minute, giving the “green light” to the application he was implementing for IACS in a way full of questions.

It also turned out, according to sources, that the application does not comply with the requirements of GYS and GEETHA. Question marks arise regarding the work that was (not) done by the delivery receiving committee as well as the competent technical service at OPEKEPE.

Questions also arise from the fact that the organization will spend money on the legal maps for the International Accounting Standards 2022 and 2023.

Pastures and aggressors…

However, aside from the strange things… regarding the maps and secret areas, a series of questions have also been raised about other interventions in the IACS.

More specifically, as noted by the relevant authorities in the market and the agricultural world, the technical advisor deleted the public (collective) pasture allocations on the second day of the platform’s operation. In essence – as can be seen from the image published by OT – he deleted the plot designs with the pasture allocations for breeders and the associated elements (signifiers). Now they are showing that these are public lands without clarifying which ones were declared, which is also a suspicious point.

Information is spreading on the market about how this happened in order to open the field to trespassers. That is, clever people who will illegally advertise land in order to collect subsidies. It is worth mentioning that public land is intended for distribution via a technical solution to breeders who own animals.

According to the complaint, those seeking to falsely declare land can now easily do so by declaring grazing land even if they do not have livestock in order to obtain the national reserve.
