A massive fire breaks out in an apartment building in Patras.

After a long battle, firefighters extinguished the blaze in Patras’ apartment, the destruction on the third floor was total.

According to tempo24.gr, cooperation between the police and the fire department prevented the worst, as there was a family in the building and the officers were immediately evacuated to a safer place.

Explosions are heard at the scene, while the police, as a precaution and for safety reasons, evacuate people near the scene and from the burning building.

According to initial information, the fire started from the gas stove on the third floor and spread to other areas. Officers were immediately mobilized and were able to quickly remove a family inside the building while police cordoned off the scene and evacuated the area. A special ladder truck of the fire department also participates in the battle of extinguishing.

First aid was administered to a person suffering from respiratory distress due to smoke inhalation.

The third floor apartment was completely damaged.
