Lefteris Petronias And Vasiliki Melusi They failed to qualify for the World Cup Final in Cairo.
An Olympic gymnast, he had a fall on his way out – the first of his career – which cost him his attendance at the final, while also leaving him with a lower back injury.
He made a post on Instagram, in which he wrote: “In the World Cup Qualifier in Cairo yesterday after I had a great execution, I had an unexpected fall at the exit which resulted in a slight injury to my lower back. This was the first fall in my career, I couldn’t even believe it. But in sports, as in life, anything can happen and you have to do two things when you fall. To recognize your mistake and learn from it first, then rise and come back stronger. The important thing in the case is that qualification for the World Championships – qualification for the Olympic Games – has been closed. So that’s what we’re moving forward with.”
On the other side, Vasiliki Melusi On her Instagram account, she uploaded joint photos of the two of them looking into each other’s eyes and hugging each other.
Tender moments were accompanied by the message: “And here comes this embarrassing moment again… The first goal didn’t end in success but probably won’t happen in eight months and with a very serious injury to qualify for the World Cup, I want to thank you through my heart for supporting me so much with all your kind words and wishes! For now, I will dedicate Myself to my girls that I missed and redefine my goal with peace of mind!”
