Samsung Halts Production of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro Due to Quality Issues – Samsung

Samsung has suspended shipments of its new flagship wireless earbuds — the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro — over concerns that the included flexible silicone tips are too fragile, causing them to tear when users try to change their sizes.

The company started accepting pre-orders for the headphones on July 10, and had previously announced that the product would be available in stores by July 24, but that date has now been pushed back. Samsung’s website now shows a delivery date of August 28, while Amazon has removed the product listing.

Samsung made an announcement today on the website. Android Authority Apologizing for the problem and reassuring consumers that it will address the issue by making improvements to quality control processes;

There have been reports of a limited number of early production Galaxy Buds 3 Pro devices. We take this matter very seriously and remain committed to maintaining the highest quality standards for our products. We are urgently evaluating and enhancing our quality control procedures.

To ensure that all products meet our quality standards, we have temporarily suspended deliveries of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro devices to distribution channels for a full quality control assessment before shipping to consumers. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If a customer who already owns the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is experiencing any issues, they should contact Samsung or visit the nearest Samsung Service Center.

The Galaxy 3 Pro is a big departure from Samsung’s previous wireless earbuds, with many pointing out a strong resemblance to Apple’s AirPods Pro. However, the use of flexible silicone tips is nothing new for Samsung’s earbuds. The company has used similar tips on several of its previous models, including the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.
