This first glimpse of Halle Bailey as a live-action version of the lovable mermaid Ariel premiered at D23 today. The short trailer shows some of the underwater world that Ariel hails from – but more importantly, it shows Billy’s vocals as she calls out the always iconic “part of your world.”
In addition to Billy as Ariellive work little mermaid It stars Melissa McCarthy as the sea witch Ursula, Javier Bardem as the overprotective King Triton, and Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, with David Diggs voicing the musical Crab Sebastian, Awkwafina as Zani Seagull Scotel, and Jacob Tremblay. He voices Flounder, the disturbing character Ariel (Fish) best friend.
