As part of the Computex 2023 exhibition currently taking place in Taipei, Taiwan, ASUS Present A new graphics card based on the new GeForce RTX 4070 GPU from NVIDIA, which does not require connection to the power supply via the PCI-E connector.

Dubbed the GeForce RTX 4070 Megalodon, the ASUS graphics card is not powered directly by the power supply (eg via a 16-pin 12VHPWR or even via one or two of the 8 (6+2)-pin PCI-E connectors) but through PCI-E slot and proprietary connector design found in the Z790 TUF Gaming motherboard.

The motherboard is also designed to have all connectors (eg for connection to a power supply) on its ‘back’, which contributes to maximum cable management.
