The OnePlus 11 concept focuses on “Active CryoFlux” liquid cooling that mimics something we also see on some PC gaming systems. The system uses a small piezoelectric ceramic pump to send coolant into all the tubes of the phone (visible from the outside) without a “dramatic” increase in the volume of the phone as seen up close.
According to OnePlus, the result is a small but noticeable improvement in performance. The company says the drop in temperature boosts gaming performance by 3 to 4 frames per second while reducing load times by 30 to 45 seconds. These offers certainly won’t make you rush to replace your current smartphone, but they most likely show what the company is working on for its next models.
The differences compared to the regular OnePlus 11 are mostly aesthetic. The raised piping and blue LED lighting are the most noticeable changes, but you’ll see the camera on the back stand out, featuring an intricate checkered pattern, similar to what you’d find on a luxury watch’s dial.
The OnePlus 11 concept, as its name suggests, will not go into production. However, it wouldn’t be surprising if cooling and design technologies find their way into smartphones in the future.
