Paris, May 2. The French Cuban Association today condemned the United States’ insistence on accepting the role of the Supreme Court in democracy and human rights in its attempt to exclude Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela from the US IX Summit.
In a statement to Brenza Latina, the organization, which has worked in solidarity with the island for more than six decades, noted that Washington recognizes its policy of unilaterally allowing non-compliant countries.
Cuba, in the voice of its foreign minister, Bruno Rodriguez, condemned a week ago the US intention to exclude it from the forum scheduled for June in Los Angeles.
A few days later, invitations to Brian Nichols, Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Havana, Managua and Caracas were not yet extended.
According to the French Association, Washington’s conduct is unacceptable, using its dual standards as excuses for ultimately denying democracy and human rights when it blatantly violates those principles.
He warned how to describe a government that has maintained a genocidal siege of more than 60 years against the Cuban people and violated international law without punishment, despite opposition from the majority of the world’s nations and American citizens. Note on the fence imposed on the island.
In this regard, he denounced that the siege was unduly intensified in the midst of the Govt-19 epidemic.
Similarly, he recalled the abuses suffered by minorities in the North, the support for coups against Bolivia, Nicaragua and Venezuela, and the wars and chaos planted for their imperialist purposes.
France has rejected the New American crusade against the Cuban Antilian nation, Nicaragua and Venezuela, and refused to put pressure on it, so other governments remain silent in the face of maneuvers aimed at excluding the US from the IX summit.
