Akioi Anargiri: 28-year-old killer allegedly attempted suicide

The 39-year-old accused of murdering 28-year-old Kyriaki Griva in Agioi Anargyros allegedly tried to commit suicide on Saturday night in the psychiatric ward of Korydallos prison where he is being held.

In particular, according to reports, the 39-year-old convict tried to end his life in his cell. The guards informed the outside guard to fetch him from the inmate hospital where he had been transferred. He was brought back with CPR and transferred to the ICU at Atticon, where he was guarded by an external guard from Koridalos.

What happened

Also, the 39-year-old tried to commit suicide by hanging a cloth from his neck on the toilet pipes from the injuries he sustained after the murder on Sunday.

He was found passed out in his room at around one in the morning, where he was given first aid while CPR was performed on him. Later, he was transferred to Attikon Hospital where it was deemed necessary to treat him in the intensive care unit.

What he argued in the apology

On Saturday, new evidence came to light from the confession of a 39-year-old man who stabbed 29-year-old Kiriaki to death outside Agios Anargiro police station. The 39-year-old said he remembers where he got the knife, but not the moment he struck and killed the unfortunate woman.

“I don't remember anything until I woke up in the ambulance. I took a knife from the house with the intention of harming myself in front of her. We had a few fights in the past but nothing violent. “In the past I was on drugs and stuff and I didn't know where I was,” he said. The 39-year-old said, according to the Star.
