After defeating Real Madrid, a tired Atletico beat Granada 1-0 away from home thanks to a goal by Alvaro Morata, moving into the semi-finals with a game in hand.

Atletico picked up the momentum after winning the Copa del Rey over Real Madrid with a 1-0 win Granada In Andalusia for Round 21 Spanish League, returning to fourth place in the standings.

The Rojiblancos were clearly tired from the extra time of the derby and the trip and they let the half pass without creating anything major.

The difference in quality between the two teams was clear, and in the second half the visitors took the lead. They created chances, hit the crossbar, and in the 54th minute Morata opened the scoring. The hosts failed to achieve more than two precise finals, and so Atletico achieved victory.
