Black Myth: Wukong – No Deluxe and Collector’s Disc Editions, while delayed on Xbox

Last night, during Summer Games Festival 2024the Science game has released a brand new trailer from the much-anticipated film Black Legend: Wukong. The video was very short, with the reveal that pre-orders are now open.

The development team announced that there will be physical versions of the game arriving on August 20, but shortly after some information was published that many users did not like. As the company stated on its official website, neither the actual Deluxe Edition nor the Collector’s Edition will include a disc in the box.

In “Love Answers” on her websiteThe development team explained that due to several limitations, the physical versions of the game would ultimately not contain a disc. So those who get either version above will see a blank Steelbook, except for the password. It is worth noting that there will be two digital versions, Standard and Deluxe.

This is the first time Game Science has released a game for consoles worldwide and we are currently facing limitations on our resources required to import, export, transfer, distribute and sell physical discs.

These factors have made it difficult for us to sell physical discs at the same time as the game’s official release. Our publisher is actively working on resolving these issues and exploring various options for delivering physical discs.

On the same page, the team also states that they have made the difficult decision to delay the release of Black Myth: Wukong for Xbox Series More specifically, Game Science stated:

All PC and PlayStation 5 users will be able to enjoy the full game starting August 20, 2024. We are currently improving the Xbox Series Therefore, it will not be released at the same time as other platforms. We apologize for the delay and aim to reduce the wait for everyone who wants to play the game on Xbox. We will announce the release date once our quality standards are met.

The physical deluxe edition includes:

• Steel case
• Chaos at the Peach Banquet (color silkscreen print)
• Warranty certificate
• Thunder ring
• Stamps and postcards
• Wind chime (necklace)
• Golden Sunset (pin)
• Bound Headband (1:1 Scale, Bronze)

The actual compiler release includes:

• All of the above plus: 40cm “Confront Destiny” protagonist statue and Heart Sutra Teaching (color print on silk scroll).
