the Fernando Santos He returned to the bench for Besiktas. The 69-year-old Portuguese coach, who has linked his name to Greek football, took over the Istanbul team, which is actually his first job at a club since the summer of 2010, when he left the PAOK substitutes bench.
Besiktas announced the contract with Santos along with the names of its partners, but did not reveal the duration of their cooperation. Besiktas currently ranks sixth in the league and outside Europe.
Santos was absent from action last September when his partnership with the Polish national team ended. In the past he sat (among others) on the national team benches of Greece and Portugal, as well as Benfica, Porto, AEK Athens, Panathinaikos and PAOK.
In Greece, Santos celebrated a trophy with AEK (2002), a championship, two cups and two Super Cups with Porto, a Euro with the Portuguese national team and the Nations League.
