the George Edmedes He does not need recommendations and glossy descriptions. After his long career in the trade union movement I now feel we don’t even need to mention his last name. The name GIORGOS, by itself, suffices when the trade union movement has a place of reference. It has become more masculine and the union has become more masculine, raising the bar higher and higher. He got nothing. He worked hard and reached ecstasy.

He read, reported, and acquired manuscripts that many would envy. From the positions he stood for us all workers, he stood above circumstances and fought battles. Relentless diligence. For the employee, the business and the consumer, it has always been forward. always. We learned a lot from George and as staff we have benefited the most during difficult times. For Giorgos, there was no “it won’t happen”. There was “we’re going to try to make it the best it can be”. We owe him a lot. Above all, we owe him a huge thanks and a huge apology for the times we may have inadvertently upset us. George I gave everything to everyone.

Workers do not have platoons, they are workers. With the veil of the electoral process falling at GENOP and giving the lead to DAKE, I hope GEORGE will always be strong and healthy. I hope for many years that he will continue to be an example of dynamism, confident that he will give his best, always and everywhere. Friend George, good strength and creative continuity. Always be fine. May the new composition of the Federation rise to the occasion as it has hitherto, for the benefit of all of us.
