True to its annual appointment, apple Winners just announced App Store Awards 2023, honoring 14 outstanding apps and games for their role in promoting “creativity, adventure, and social interaction.” The winners, drawn from developers from around the world, were selected by the App Store’s editorial team for their contribution to “delivering meaningful experiences” and inspiring “cultural change.” The selection process revealed nearly 40 finalists, with the eventual winners distinguished by their outstanding technical innovations, user experience and design.
The best iPhone app of 2023 was AllTrails, which encourages outdoor exploration by allowing the community to share trails they know. On the other hand, real-life makeup app Prêt-à-Makeup emerged as the iPad app of the year. Finally, Photomator’s advanced machine learning-based editing tools emerged as Mac App of the Year.
Moving on to gaming, titles like Honkai: Star Rail and Lost in Play have managed to attract gamers, while Apple has also given the Souls-like game Lies of P a try.
