Manchester City 1-1 Liverpool: Alexander-Arnold responded to Haaland to keep the Reds at the Etihad Stadium

Liverpool pulled away from the Etihad Stadium thanks to Alexander-Arnold’s stunning goal that canceled out Haaland’s first-half strike to give Arsenal the chance to go top.

The match between Manchester City and Liverpool was scoreless at Etihad Stadium, as the two teams finished in a 1-1 draw. The Citizens were generally superior, but the ‘Reds’ with Chimeka playing as the starter were able to take the point with Alexander-Arnold.

This was City’s first defeat at the Etihad Stadium in 2023, while the gap between the two teams remained at one point, with Arsenal in a position to go top if they beat Brentford.
