New updates are added below this story …….
The original story (released December 20, 2021) is as follows:
The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are the latest entries in the flagship Pixel line. While critics have praised the device’s unique-looking camera pump and overall performance, the software experience can be summed up as excellent.
Since it was released in mid-October, the owners have reported a number of things Errors and omissions For many, the pixel experience has been ruined. Although the hardware is interesting, some people seem to have a problem with the display.
While some say the screen cracks when in the pocket, some say it explodes automatically while charging the phone.
People say it’s very different because the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus, which is the hardest mirror of the company to date.
The image below shows what the crack looks like for a user who claims to have noticed the crack when he took the phone out of his pocket.
Hey guys, there was only 6 Pro for about 4 days now and it roughly exploded in my pocket. I have the Otterbox Defender case, yet no soft glass protection because I can’t find it anywhere. Did not drop the phone or put it anywhere else or put pressure. I took it out of my front pocket and there was a crack in the upper right half of the screen halfway. Does anyone else have or have had similar issues? Someone dropped it and I knew it had cracked, but it was weird, random cracking on the screen.
Another device owner said he tried to contact a Google Customer Support Representative about the issue, but was redirected to Google Web Support.
To resolve this I would like to talk to the real CSR, but without giving any way to talk to the real CSR agent, the support web page sent me around. I tried to call customer service, but it recommended me back to web support. I want to bring this issue to Google, I just saw the online community that I do not have this problem. I do not want to wait until the warranty period is over. Can anyone contact me from customer support?
Initially, many people thought that the screen cracked due to an error on their part, but after looking at the number of users affected by the problem, it looks like a design glitch or an engineering error.
But since Google did not say anything about the Pixel 6 screen cracking problem, we do not know if it’s due to a manufacturing or design flaw or the users.
Nevertheless, we will monitor the issue and update this article as needed, so keep checking this place regularly.
