Rockstar caught up with a former developer who spoke about his years at the studio

A few days ago we informed you of an interesting revelation about the fate of Agent, the game exclusive to Rock Games for the PS3 which was ultimately never released. This information was brought to public attention by the former technical director of Rockstar, Obbe Vermeij.

Vermeij worked at Rockstar North from 1995 to 2009, contributing to games such as Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto IV, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. Therefore, on November 11, he decided to create a new blog, to talk about the years he spent in the famous team, but it seems that Rockstar did not particularly like it.

Specifically, within a few days, the blog was removed, and the last post read:

I received an email from Rockstar North. I really thought no one would mind talking about 20 year old games, but I was wrong. He was saying something about ruining Rockstar Puzzle or something.

Now, this message has been removed by the blog, which simply reads:

I decided to close the blog.

It has come to my attention that some of my former colleagues are not enjoying it as much as I thought they would.

No pressure from Rockstar. It was my choice.

So it seems that the worst of Rockstar will remain a secret, as the company remains very strict about everything related to the development of its games, even decades later.
