The first Marousakis forecast for the Christmas season – the big twist

The first Marousakis forecast for the Christmas season – the big twist

According to Clearchos Marousakis, the events in western Greece will start to slow down from today (11/29).

In particular, according to the OPEN meteorologist, bad weather will start to move towards the Aegean. Heavy rain fell yesterday, bringing 50 tonnes of water per hectare to Patras, but as Mr Marousakis points out, these events are normal for November, a month known for extreme storms.

Today (29/11), unsettled weather is forecast for the western, southern and eastern Aegean islands with rain and even temporary storms. Elsewhere, clouds alternate with sunshine. In the Ionian and Aegean the southeasterlies prevail with the strongest intensity, while the winds begin to decrease from noon and afternoon. The mercury will begin to rise slowly in the south, with temperatures reaching 22 degrees Celsius.

Weather in Attica and Thessaloniki

Wednesday (29/11) started with temporary local rains in Attica province, but later the events will weaken and be limited to the southern parts of the basin. Winds will blow from the south with temporary strong intensity and the temperature will reach 22 degrees Celsius by noon.

In Thessaloniki, the weather is mild, with a chance of some temporary localized rain during the day. Southerly winds with strong intensity inland, especially in the open sea. Temperatures will rise to 18-19 degrees Celsius by midday on Wednesday.

The weather is “softening” – spring scenery from the weekend

Klearchos Marousakis reports that tomorrow Thursday (11/30) even better weather is expected, as events are limited to the southeast Aegean and northwest, with southeasterlies continuing.

Also, similar weather is expected on Friday (1/12), as rain will fall in the eastern and southeastern Aegean regions, and in the western, Epirus and northern Ionian regions. We expect long periods of sunshine in the remaining areas.

A warm wind from Africa will blow over the weekend, which will increase the temperature to above 22-23 degrees Celsius, although there will be clouds in some places. At the same time, African dust is expected to be transferred from the coast of North Africa to our country.

In conclusion, the rain will taper off day by day through Friday (1/12), the mercury will rise through the weekend and we’re headed for clear spring weather.

Marousakis: You mean Santa will come to us from the sea again this year?
