Additions to Olympiacos’ roster may be complete, but player waivers continue. The red and white receive a very large amount from Rangelovic and Chumich sales.

Olympiacos’ roster additions may be complete (of course, the free agent market is still open), but player deals are ongoing. Recently, Lazar Rangelovich moved to Rubin Kazan for €1,500,000, as reported in Russia.

The 26-year-old winger, who Olympiacos acquired from Radniski Nice for £550,000 in the summer of 2018, has been loaned out to Leganes and Ural over the past two seasons, while he is not included in Diego Martinez’s plans.

Therefore, it was appropriate to transfer him, as his contract with Piraeus PE was due to expire in ten months. It is noteworthy that the transfer period in Russia ends today.

However, in Rubin Kazan, another former red and white footballer, Nikola Čumić, who is already in Russia and will sign a four-year cooperation contract, will continue his career.

According to reports in Serbia, Vojvodina has agreed a deal with Rubin Kazan of around £2,000,000 or just over, and since Olympiacos has retained 50% of the rights to the 24-year-old winger, he will receive €1 million.

Thus, the “Red and Whites” will receive a total of 2,500,000 euros from the sales of Rangelovich and Çumich to Rubin Kazan, while it should be remembered that in the summer Ryabchyuk was awarded to another Russian team, Spartak Moscow, instead of 6,000,000 euros. Rangelović made 75 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing five assists for Olympiacos, while Čumić did not play in the first team.

On the occasion of the latter’s transfer, the President of Vojvodina, Dragoljub Žbilić, told Serbian media: “We have received a new and second financial offer from Robben, which we cannot refuse, and neither we nor Olympiacos, who own 50% of the deal, can refuse.

In addition, Chomich himself received an incredible financial reward, so we decided to let him go to Kazan and sign the contract with Rubin. “I note that the amount is much higher than the one and a half million euros that were written.”
