It’s no secret that China’s electric vehicle industry is growing steadily. Both in production and sales, but also in options offering hundreds of options. In fact, the best-selling models in China are ready for a European and possibly American landing in the near future.

One of the latest companies to enter the electric vehicle segment in the country is called Avatr – a joint venture between Changan Automobile, lithium-ion battery supplier CATL, and Huawei (a well-known mobile phone company).

The Avatr 11 (pronounced “one,” not “eleven”) is the brand’s first production model and is definitely something worth our attention.

For the Chinese market, the model starts at 43,000 euros and goes up to 60,000, “beating” Tesla in every area. All are 4.88m tall. With a wheelbase of 2.97m, it offers impressive space for up to five adults.

Huawei made both the electric motors and the software that “runs” the car. Its higher version generates 578 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, achieving 0-100 in just under 4 seconds. The battery comes from CATL with a capacity of 116 kWh, and offers the model a range of 675 km.

It should be noted that the Chinese market is the largest in the field of electric vehicles, with millions of sales and dozens of different options. 7 out of the 10 best sellers worldwide for 2022 were Chinese. Do we consider it?
