From today 14/12, the Tower of Piraeus is impressive for Christmas, the building lights up from the moment of darkness in the country’s great port and presents a truly magnificent sight.
The illumination of the Praeus Tower changes colors and makes the entire building glow in the dark, giving the city, its residents and visitors another, festive touch.
Yannis Moralis: Now Pyrgos is almost ready
After a short tour of the building’s interior, the lights were turned on just before 6 p.m.
As part of the Christmas events of the municipality of Piraeus, the tower is illuminated for the fourth year in a row. The Tower of Piraeus will light up every night until January 6, 2024.
Just before the lighting, journalists, municipal councilors and city bodies were given a guided tour.
Red is missing
Not surprisingly, one of the colors that the Tower of Phraeus wears is the red of Olympiakos.
In his congratulatory message, the mayor of Piraeus, Yiannis Morales, said that this year’s lights are different from the previous ones, as the lights were set up from the port due to the reconstruction of the tower.
“Now the tower is almost ready. We are on the balcony of the tower, the balcony I would say of Phrae, to see the unique light,” he insisted.
