Another business of similar activity, in Piraeus, was found to have received notional invoices of €7.15m, plus VAT of €1.72m. The fine imposed is 860,000 euros.

A shop selling mobile phones and telecommunications equipment, in Athens, was found to receive notional invoices of €621,000, plus VAT of €150,000. The fine is up to 75,000 euros.

A machinery wholesale company, in central Athens, issued notional invoices of €8.5m, plus VAT of €2.1m.

Finally, an advertising company, based in Athens, hid from the 2019 tax return a turnover of €230,000 and a value-added tax of €54,000.

And that’s not all.

The advertising company is also involved in the issuance and receipt of virtual invoices totaling €1.85 million!

The first fine for inaccurate statements of €27,000 has already been imposed, while the audit of the company’s books continues, in order to establish, first, the total amount of tax evasion, possibly for other uses, and secondly, all involved in the virtual billing circuit.
