Kostis and Paraskio are cattle breeders and live in the village of Krotos in the Cortina municipality of Heraklion. They met when the current groom moved to the village from Jaros, where he worked as a shepherd.
82-year-old Paraskio and 41-year-old Kostis from the village of Krotos in the municipality of Cortina were united in the holy bonds of matrimony on Sunday afternoon (10.09.2023) in Heraklion, Crete.
The groom waited patiently for the bride on the steps of the church and upon her arrival he presented her with a magnificent bouquet. The couple was flanked by hundreds of friends and relatives.

“He has been working hard for three years. He saw her everyday in the coffee shop. He didn’t want too much… They got closer because everything is a matter of communication,” said Ms Fragiatakis, a friend of the couple.
“Costis was the one who made the first move and he persisted. At first I thought he was joking. This is inappropriate, I told him. You could be my girl… But he insisted… I saw that he meant what he said. So what should I do?” , I was sure, I told him yes, and we’ve been together ever since,” Baracchio admitted.
