E3 2023 Canceled – Unboxholics.com

After several weeks of confusion, it appears that E3 2023 The cancellation took place, as many companies decided not to attend the event this time either. The announcement was made by the company itself ESA (Entertainment Software Association), which sent a private letter, as characteristically noted IGN.

To remind you that E3 will naturally return this year with a big event, which will be held in June at the Los Angeles Convention Center. In fact, it was known here that none of the major companies in the industry, such as Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, would have any special presentation at the fair.

Two sources confirmed to IGN that the report had been rescinded, with ESA being emailed to various members. The email stated, among other things, the following:

This was a difficult decision because of all the efforts we, as well as our partners, put into making this event happen. We had to do what was right for the industry and what was right for E3. We appreciate and understand that interested companies would not have demos ready for their games, but also that the challenges were many and this was an obstacle that they were unable to overcome.

For those who made a commitment to come to E3 2023, we’re sorry we couldn’t deliver the show you deserve and expect from ReedPop.

First E3 post on Twitter

Even himself Jeff Kelly He commented on the E3 cancellation with a photo stating, among other things: “Here I am, 15-year-old at E3 1995. E3 meant a lot to me, and it meant a lot to you. Four years ago, I realized that E3 is not evolving because it needs to be competitive in this global digital world. So we started building the next one. See you at Summer Game Fest on June 8th.”

At this point, let us remind you that this year the fair will be preparing for its great comeback, after its complete absence last year and the presence of a completely different organizer. Specifically, ReedPop, the company responsible for PAX, will be behind the show.
