Eurovision 2023: Victor Vernicus tried to win over the Eurovision Arena crowd

The second Eurovision semi-final kicked off at 22.00 Greek time, and all eyes are on Liverpool.

Greece debuted at No. 8 with Victoras Vernicos performing “What They Say”, a rhythmic, festive and dynamic song he wrote at the age of 14, sharing a personal experience. The stage presence was signed off by the Director of the Ballet of the Lyric Stage, Konstantinos Rigos, and the costumes were designed by Victor Giorgos Sigridakis.

The young man, the youngest representative of this year’s event, has tried with his stage presence to excite the crowd and is now awaiting the judgment of the Eurofans.

The order of appearance of the countries in the second Eurovision semi-final: Denmark, Armenia, Romania, Estonia, Belgium, Cyprus, Iceland, Greece, Poland, Slovenia, Georgia, San Marino, Austria, Albania, Lithuania, Australia.

The songs of the “Big Five” (Spain, UK, France, Germany, Italy), as well as last year’s winner Ukraine, do not compete, as they qualify directly for the Eurovision final.

Spain, Ukraine and the United Kingdom vote in the second semi-final tonight.

It is reported that starting from this year there will be changes in the voting method for the Eurovision Song Contest, as viewers will select only the songs that advance from the semi-finals to the Grand Final, while for the first time viewers will select from countries that did not participate in the contest (“Rest of the World”).
