According to the document that Leaked to XGoogle is planning to make some major changes to its Bard AI tool, perhaps even within the next week. These plans, which have not been officially confirmed, appear to include renaming Bard to Gemini. The changelog posted by Dylan Roussel, an Android app designer, is dated February 7, and includes, among other things, information that the paid advanced tier, Gemini Advanced, will also be available on that date. The document also notes that the Gemini app for Android devices will be available “soon.”
According to the leaked document, Gemini Advanced will give users access to Gemini's Ultra 1.0 model, which is “more capable of performing highly complex tasks such as code generation, logical associations, complex instruction compliance, and creative collaboration.” It will be available in more than 150 countries, and will initially be optimized for English. The list of upcoming changes states that at the same time as these changes are implemented, Gemini will also be expanding to Canada.
