The decision of the Ministry of National Defense regarding its participation in the European program for the Modular and Multi-Mission Patrol Corvette (MMPC), known as “Eurocorvette”, was published yesterday in “Diavgeia”. Basically, it is the formal admission to participate in the ongoing international cooperation program in the field of research and development. Among the beneficiaries of the decision are the Greek companies FEAC, HYDRUS, IDE, ISD SA, PRISMA and TERRA SPATIUM, which will undertake the work for us.
We remind you that we are currently in the initial planning phase with the European Union through the European Defense Fund (EDF). Providing financing of €60 million, in addition to the national participation of all countries (Greece will provide €2.19 million). In the next phase, the basic design, European funding will rise to another 154.5 million euros.
