Julian Sands, the 65-year-old actor who disappeared in January while hiking on Mount Baldy in California, has been confirmed dead.
On Tuesday, the San Fernando Police Department confirmed that the remains found by hikers in the Mount Baldy area over the weekend were those of the Sands.
“The process of identification of the body found in Mount Baldy on June 24, 2023 has been completed and has been identified as that of Julianne Sands, 65, who lived in North Hollywood,” said a ministry statement.
The investigation into the cause of death is still underway, pending further examination results.”
Julian Richard Morley Sands (born January 4, 1958) is an English actor known for roles in films such as Screams in Silence, Room with a View, Warlock, and Arachnophobia.
On television, he is best known for his small roles as Vladimir Bierko and Jor-El in the hit TV series 24 and Superman: Dawn of Justice, respectively.

Sands was born in Otley, West Yorkshire, and went to Lord Wadsworth College, Long Sutton, Hampshire. His family was very big as he had 4 brothers and 1 sister. One of his brothers, Quentin, was voted Britain’s “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1998 by She magazine.
