Metro and electricity strike on Wednesday

Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 1, there will be no metro and electricity in the capital for a few hours due to the strike announced by labor unions.

Specifically, Metro trains do not run from 18.00 until the end of the shift, while Line 1 does not run from the start of the shift until 14:00.

Metro employees are protesting as the agreements are not followed even after written assurances and assurances from the management.

Accordingly, in the notification issued by STA.SY. It said: “The government is systematically pursuing the discrediting of STA.SY and the stripping of its employees’ labor rights, with the ultimate goal of privatizing its key sectors, leaving hundreds of organic jobs vacant.

As a result, many colleagues work grueling hours, without breaks, even the full 12 hours.

Our association demands immediate recruitment of permanent and regular employees with transparent procedures.

Instead, the government is promoting a piecemeal hiring solution with the Ministry of Transport bill, which will be another “patch” to the company’s problem.

For this reason, we have decided to strike from Wednesday, March 1, 2023 till the end of the shift, with a demand for immediate employment of permanent and permanent employees.

The same announcement added: “We want decent work and transparent hiring of permanent and regular employees!”

STA.SY itself. In his announcement, he said, “We will work from 2pm to the end of our shift to serve the needs of the community to provide a minimum guaranteed social service!” He points out that initially, according to the information, a 24-hour strike was decided.
