The Los Angeles Rams believe history will repeat itself.
Within a year of Tom Brady and Tampa Bay Buccaneers becoming the first team in NFL history to win the Super Bowl on their own soil, the Rams are looking for a similar fate in 2022.
On a cloudy and bitter winter day, the Rams defeated the aforementioned Buchananians 30-27 in the NFC Division Round, while denying them the chance to defend the title while advancing to the NFC Championship next week.
The Rams’ victory seemed inevitable for most of the game, but was almost never fruitful following the furious return of Brady and Bucks in the fourth quarter. With a 27-3 lead, Tampa Bay had 24 unanswered points and less than a minute to level the game. “I’m not thinking much about it. I’ll take it day by day and see where we are,” Brady said when asked if he was going to retire. “True friends, I’m thinking about this game, not thinking about the future right now.”
There were a lot of questions about Brady’s future after the game, so there were a lot of questions about Rams’ quarterback Matthew Stafford before the start of the post season. Despite being ranked with Brady statistically among the best quarterbacks of his generation, Stafford has yet to win a playoff game in his 13-year NFL career.
Exorcise some of those monsters though The Rams beat the Arizona Cardinals 34-11 in the NFC Wild Card Game, Stafford skeptics do not believe Brady can win the biggest quarterback of all time.
But Stafford won the much-anticipated quarterback fight of the aging players. The 33-year-old threw for 366 yards and two touchdowns, rushing to a score in the battle with Brady.
The 44-year-old Brady scored 329 and embraced defeat.
The Rams are now hosting the 6th-ranked San Francisco 49ers for the third time this season at the SoFi Stadium on Sunday. The rival 49ers have beaten the Rams six times in a row. Their last win was on December 30, 2018.
“It’s a big challenge,” Stafford said when confronted by the Niners. “I hope this is one of those games that is intense blue and yellow, and we have a good loud crowd that makes it hard for them. I’m excited for the opportunity.”
The Rams jumped to an early 10-point lead after Stafford found back-up tie-end Kendall Bland in play-action for a seven-yard pass for the first score of the game.
Los Angeles broke the game early in the second quarter when Stafford Cooper found the rubbish wide open for a 70-yard touchdown pass that highlighted the Rams 17-3.
“The coach called us on a great call. We got the coverage we wanted,” said Kup of Touch Down. “We got a two-on-one in front-line defense. Matthew [Stafford] It worked well and gave me the opportunity to take the run after the catch. I felt it was my best chance, to get it back and I was able to get to the final zone. Rams kept the Bucks out of the final zone in the first half, but missed a chance to go up 27-3 when Cam Ackers stumbled the ball on the one-yard line, killing all the pace going into the locker room.

With a 27-6 lead, Gupta stumbled and returned the ball to Brady and Bucks in their own area in the middle of the third quarter.
“It’s obviously hard,” Kup said of the stumble. “You obviously try and limit them as much as you can, and at the same time, obviously, you feel like you’re dropping your team and putting the defense in a terrible place. You never wanted to do that. In fact, before that drive, we were like ‘ball defense, ball defense.’ That’s something I can not do. “
Seven games later, Leonard Fornett, activated from the IR before the game, drove the ball into the final zone, and suddenly Brady and Bucks were down 27-13.

Rams became the first team in NFL history to lose four games in a game leading by 20 or more points, but still managed to win the game. A team made four turns for the first time they were able to beat a team led by Tom Brady.
Rams head coach Sean McVeigh said, “Having four sales is something we absolutely need to clean up.” But my most favorite part was staying with the guys together. No one moved, no one blinked. “
Brady showed why he was swinging when he gave Mike Evans a penny for a 55-yard touchdown pass that reduced the game to 27-20 just three minutes before the end of the match.

Instead, they dropped three games in a row to the Titans, Niners and Packers. But then they had five consecutive wins and repaired the ship.
Now, after two straight wins against deserving opponents in the latter season, the Rams have a foothold on the gas and could become the second straight team to play Super Bowl at their home ground with the Super Bowl scheduled for February 13 at SoFi Stadium.
