The Boring Phone is based on the Nokia 2660 Flip and has a transparent case with some green details that reference the colors of Heineken's product packaging. The device has a 1.77-inch display on the outside, while inside is the main TFT LCD display with a diagonal of 2.8 inches and a resolution of QVGA (240 x 320 pixels). On the back there is a 0.3-megapixel camera with LED flash.

The Boring Phone supports up to 4G connectivity and has two SIM card slots. Inside is a Unisoc T107 (1.0GHz) processor, 48MB of RAM, and 128MB of ROM with expandable storage using a microSDHC memory card. The removable 1450 mAh battery promises up to a week of standby time and 6 hours of talk time on 3G/4G networks. It “runs” the Mocor RTOS and features the well-known and loved Snake game while the FM radio and headphone jack are not absent.
