The NBA In-Season Tournament has gained real interest because it guarantees a huge sum for every player on the winning team.


An in-season championship has been something much talked about in the NBA over the past few years, until it is realized – for the first time – in 2023/24. The NBA’s decision to put a mini-event into the regular season was made mostly for business reasons, but Adam Silver didn’t want it to be seen as a chore by the players.

That’s why discussions between the NBA and the players’ association over a new collective bargaining agreement included negotiating the best possible incentive… for the championship in the season. Thus, the $500,000 that each player on the winning team will receive ensures that the competition will be at its height and that no one will encounter this process as an imperative.

As it has become known, large sums are also expected for the team that finishes second ($200,000/player), third ($100,000/player) and fourth ($50,000/player).

And all this for the matches that will be held within the regular season …
