These are potential major knockout contenders

The Greek national team was unable to achieve victory over the Netherlands, and the goal of qualifying for the final stage of Euro 2024 fell short of the second group in the qualifiers.

If Greece ultimately cannot get out of their group, the qualifying door is also open, in order to gain a place in the German stadiums that way.

Luxembourg in the qualifiers

Luxembourg’s defeat in the Dukatos by Slovakia left them five points off second place and thus 1.5 games back in the qualifiers. The Luxembourg national team maintains the dream of first qualifying for the final stage, but that passes through the qualifiers.

Based on current data, they will be the fourth team in this process, so they will face the first, which mathematically is Georgia. This means that from this pair the first group of the final process will emerge.

Greece’s first opponent

If the Greek national team finally finds itself in the playoffs, it will first compete with another national team looking for a second chance. Barring a shocking upset, Kazakhstan is expected to be in action at the OPAP Arena.

The Kazakhstan national team occupies fourth place in Group H, four points behind the lead. Slovenia and Denmark each have 16 points, and Finland and Kazakhstan each have 12 points, and the latter will play at home with San Marino and away with Slovenia in the November matches.

Failure to go the distance from the top pair in these matches sends them straight to the Greek Nationals semifinals.

However, if Magomed Antiyev’s side manages to qualify, the baton will pass to Luxembourg, and Azerbaijan will take its place in the semi-finals with Georgia.
