They are in the sights of the tax authorities: who gets Ravasakhi immediately

The Tax Authority increases tension in order to collect money in the coming period..

Is it expected to be targeted according to the latest developments?

Who will get the deductions from the tax office?

Specifically, these are taxpayers who have open cases as of 2018, which expire at the end of the year.

More than 20,000 notifications of estimated tax amounts will be sent, based on information available from the Tax Authority.

The review focuses on retirees and employees with undeclared retroactive amounts, taxpayers with income from abroad, property owners with undeclared income, and self-employed people.

What will AADE look at?

The AADE guidelines include checks and cross-checks on the following:

  • Certificates of wages or pensions, bonuses from business activity, income from dividends, interest and royalties.
  • Objective income and expenses for living or acquiring assets, as recorded in income tax returns and the Integrated Portfolio Information System.
  • Information for carrying out professional or commercial activity, as well as information resulting from the exchange of information in the context of international administrative cooperation.
  • Information from third parties.

As of this year, the AADE is also applying a “provisional tax determination” to companies with indicators or suspicion of tax evasion. The tax is determined based on available data and its collection is confirmed before the deadline for submitting the relevant return, such as a value-added tax return for example.

The measure mainly targets seasonal companies that operate for a short period and then disappear without paying due taxes.
