The blast also created a crater in the road and part of the pavement was destroyed.

A man, his back to the road, speeds away as a heavy white bus nearly runs over him. But another was not so lucky as his body was found by firefighters under a car while searching the area after the blast.

The cause of the explosion is still unknown. The company that supplied natural gas to this part of the town said it did not believe it was because its pipelines were underground, which the authorities initially thought was the reason. City officials said they are bringing in experts to check pipes or other cables in the area and whether another explosion or gas leak is imminent.
