A 30-year-old Ceres man who inspired people to fight a rare form of cancer has died.

30 years old George Jackliveris from Ceres He moved thousands of people with his posts on social media about his battle cancer, He passed away this morning.

The former Kavala footballer was suffering from Burkitt's lymphoma and fought an uphill battle to stay alive. This lymphoma starts from specialized immune cells called B cells. It is characterized by a genetic mutation called a translocation involving the MYC gene. This genetic change allows cancer cells to divide more rapidly and form new cancer cells.








As revealed by his brother, he died at the age of 30 on Monday around 1:00 am, leaving his family in mourning. George's brother Kostas Zakliveris posted a photo of them together on social media, bidding him farewell, writing: “Have a nice trip my brother, now you will watch over us from above. We will always remember you smiling like before…”
