A “bomb” in the world of football from “IFAP”! According to what was reported by “Equip”, the body responsible for setting regulations in football has agreed to begin implementing the temporary suspension on football matches, in those federations that it chooses.
What does this mean in practice? Referees will be able to stop a player for ten minutes, and the International Football Association Board even gives specific instructions on the circumstances in which a referee will be able to use this penalty.

Therefore, this ban will be applied in cases of protest by football players (except team captains), but also in tactical fouls, for example when a defending player tries to stop a counter-attack.
This measure comes in an attempt to improve the behavior of players and coaches and increase respect for referees. Application will be submitted by those who wish from March 2024.
