ASUS announces the Dual GeForce RTX 4060 Ti SSD graphics card – Asus

Asus Announce The world’s first graphics card with M.2 SSD storage while providing the necessary cooling required by the latest generation of high-performance NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD solutions.

The ASUS DUAL-RTX4060TI-O8G-SSD graphics card (this is the name of the model) is based on NVIDIA’s popular GeForce RTX 4060 Ti processor based on NVIDIA’s “Ada Lovelace” architecture. The graphics processor integrates 4,352 CUDA® cores with 3rd generation RT (ray tracing) cores and 4th generation Tensor cores with DLSS 3.5 and frame generation support while the 18Gbps 8Gbps GDDR6 memory subsystem connects to the graphics processor via an 128-bit wide bus. Bit. The graphics processor has an operating frequency of 2,565MHz which with overclocking function (OC mode) reaches 2,595MHz.

What’s interesting about this implementation is the presence of an M.2 slot on the back of the graphics card that supports NVMe PCIe M.2 SSDs of the 2280 type. As mentioned, it is the first graphics card in the world sold with an integrated M slot.2 SSDs .

Although your ASUS DUAL-RTX4060TI-O8G-SSD graphics card supports PCIe 4.0, if your motherboard and NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD support the PCIe 5.0 standard, the solid-state drive will operate at full PCIe 5.0 speed. For this very reason, ASUS recommends installing the graphics card in the upper PCIe slot on the motherboard to ensure direct communication with the processor.

The ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 Ti SSD features a dual-fan Axial-tech cooling system that keeps its temperature at optimal levels while gaming. However, these fans make sure that the temperatures that develop in the solid-state drive are kept low.

NVMe PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSD storage drives have proven in many cases to require a good cooling system, active or passive, and integrated graphics card cooling is a great solution. According to ASUS testing, storage runs at up to 40% cooler temperatures when connected to a Dual GeForce RTX 4060 Ti SSD, delivering longer read/write performance than standard motherboard-mounted M.2 slots.
