Fuel and Drink Fake Ring: “Priest”, “Sorcerer” and model

20 people, including a 67-year-old deacon known as “the priest”, his close associate, a 65-year-old known as “the sorcerer” and a 27-year-old former reality TV model, were arrested over fuel and alcohol. Fraud gang busted by police in western Attica

EL.AS made twenty arrests. In Western Attica the rounds involved illegal importation of chemicals for fuel adulteration, smuggling of adulterated fuel, and illegal importation of ethyl alcohol for adulteration in beverages.

Six petrol stations have been targeted by prosecuting authorities, while tax evasion for the state is estimated at 1.2 million euros.

A targeted police operation was carried out in the evening of March 5 to “root out” the criminal organization.

During the operation, 6 gas stations, a truck stop, 7 houses, 2 warehouses, a disinfectant manufacturing and industrial chemical wholesale company, a beverage wholesale company and 2 distilleries were raided.

The following were found and seized during this investigation.

85,265- liters of chemical solvents,

12,101 liters of unleaded petrol without legal documents,

5,762 liters of ethyl alcohol,

746 liters of other alcoholic liquids,

12 IXE, out of which 6 have been recruited while 3 will be sent to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation for laboratory testing.

4 I.X. trucks,

2 tank trucks,

4 shotguns,

8 mobile phones and

78,955 Euros.

Roles of circuits

A multi-member criminal organization that was dismantled by the financial police hid its tracks well. Everyone had their share. A former reality TV actress was among the 20 people arrested.

His main partner is a Gaza-born 65-year-old expert in mixing chemical solvents.
