The Qatar World Cup has come to an end for Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo with the 37-year-old striker once again failing to find the net in a knockout match.
Portugal completed its 2022 World Cup obligations thereafter Defeat against Morocco in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
The Portuguese return home, and with them Cristiano Ronaldo who could not stand up after the match and burst into tears Because this will probably be his last World Cup match.
Ronaldo came on as a substitute in the match as Portugal trailed 1-0 but failed to score. He had two finals but it wasn’t enough to beat Bono as the 37-year-old striker completed the knockout match again without scoring.
It is characteristic that he played eight matches in his career in the knockout stage of the World Cup finals and never managed to find the net.
In total, he’s spent 570 minutes on the field, he’s made 27 final appearances but none of them have ended up in the net. All eight of Ronaldo’s World Cup goals have come in the group stage.
