Firefighters had to break down the entrance to get into the building – there was one person in the apartment.
The PY operation center in Lamia was informed a few minutes after midnight of smoke coming from a third-floor apartment, near the Municipal Theater and specifically from the intersection of Kasolis and Antigonis streets.
An alarm was immediately raised and fire department vehicles rushed to the spot, as well as police officers from the DI.AS. Immediate action with engines and patrol cars. Reports say one person was trapped in the apartment where the smoke came from, so firefighters had to break down an entrance to enter the building.

Finally, there was a resident inside the apartment who was sleeping with a forgotten utensil in the kitchen, which caused a small fire that was extinguished immediately and did not have time to reach dimensions.
Fortunately, the resident did not suffer from smoke inhalation and did not need to be taken to the hospital.
Naturally, there was great excitement in the central part of the city. Fortunately, the adventure had a happy ending without risk to human life.
